Tujhse Hai Raabta (English: There's A Connection With You) is an Indian television drama show about the unspoken connections between non-blood related people.^[1][2]

This is Reem's first show as an adult female lead. Produced by Sonali and Amir Jaffer under the banner -Full House Media, it premiered on 3 September 2018 on Zee TV. It stars Reem Sheikh, Poorva Gokhale, Sehban Azim, Rajat Dahiya and Shagun Pandey.

Set in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, this is the story of a bitter-sweet relationship of a stepmother and stepdaughter. How their life takes different twists and turns and how they both fight with those roadblocks and keep going forward.

It has been a hit with the audiences since its premiere and has maintained a position on the TRP charts ever since. One of the most loved 'Raabtas' is the Jodi of Kalyani Malhar Rane (Reem Sheikh) and Malhar Rane (Sehban Azim), fondly known as KalMa, due to their crackling chemistry despite having an age gap. Fans have adored their chemistry with their on-screen son Moksh (Arzaan Shaikh) and immensely loved their bond off-screen.

The story starts with a girl named Kalyani Deshmukh who is a 17 years old girl, spending a vacation with her parents Atul Deshmukh and Madhuri Deshmukh. During their vacation, Kalyani arranges remarriage of Atul and Madhuri as an anniversary gift for the celebration of their anniversary. But Madhuri and Atul have an argument due to Madhuri believing that Atul (still) has a relation with a woman named Anupriya, in which Madhuri threatens to commit suicide. This ends up in an accident in which Madhuri slips off the balcony railing and despite Atul's numerous attempts to save her, she falls and dies. Thus, Kalyani thinks Anupriya to be the interfering person in between her parents and starts hating Anupriya even though not knowing who is Anupriya. The police think Atul is responsible for Madhuri's death and arrests him.Atul is in police custody and calls Anupriya to take responsibility of Kalyani until she turns 18. Anupriya does so for their old sake. But Kalyani, who doesn't know Anupriya's real identity, denies staying with Anupriya. So, Kalyani gets admitted to a school and stays at the school's hostel.

Anupriya lives in a village named Aurangabad with her family consisting of Ahilya Deshmukh(also known as Aosaheb and who initially thought of as Anupriya's biological mom), Sayaji Rao Deshmukh/ Raosaheb( Ahilya's Husband and elder of the family), Vivek (son of Aosaheb) and his wife Pallavi with their two kids Nal and Godavari, Atharv (who is Pallavi's orphan brother), Aparna(Aosahebs Daughter- kicked out from her in-laws house) and Sampada-Aparna's daughter(married to an ACP Malhar Rane). Anupriya didn't tell her family members about Kalyani and suddenly Kalyani comes to their house during puja to take revenge from Anupriya. She gets off on a wrong foot with Aosaheb from the first Day. Kalyani keeps making troubles for Anupriya but Anupriya continues caring and supporting Kalyani. After a few incidents, it is revealed that Atul is the son of Ahilya Deshmukh and Sayajirao Deshmukh. It is also revealed that Anupriya is Atul's first wife.

But Ahilya refuses to accept Kalyani as her granddaughter as she considers Kalyani to be the illegitimate child of Atul and Madhuri because Madhuri, who was actually the sister-in-law of Aparna, was in a relationship with Atul and got pregnant. Back then, Madhuri's father threw Aparna out of his home as Ahilya didn't accept Atul and Madhuri and rather disowned them. So both Ahilya and Aparna now turn inferior to Kalyani-Anupriya. To make Kalyani out from their family, Aao Saheb plans to get Kalyani married to Atharv Bapat who is the brother of Atul's sister-in-law, Pallavi Deshmukh. Kalyani doesn't agree to the marriage and Anupriya also supports her and gradually Kalyani accepts Anupriya as her mother. On the other hand, Atharv and his girlfriend Sampada are having an affair which is unknown to all. On Kalyani's 18th birthday, Atharv and Sampada plan to elope but the doctor tells Sampada not to travel as Sampada is pregnant and her delivery date is very close. So Sampada tells her husband ACP Malhar Rane that she is going to Mumbai but actually makes kidnapping drama along with Atharv which Kalyani gets to know. Kalyani and Anupriya think that Atharva kidnapped Sampada and tries to free her and inform Malhar about it. So, Atharva gets furious and torturous Kalyani for making troubles for them. Sampada gives birth to Moksh and finally, she elopes with Atharva. Kalyani tries to stop Sampada but she didn't listen to her. Instead, they frame Kalyani and Anupriya for helping them elope, leaving Malhar and Sampada's newborn. Anupriya gets to know it and follows them and Atharv-Sampada falls from a hill while running away from her. But Malhar comes at that moment and thinks Anupriya killed Atharv-Sampada.

Malhar is devastated and wants to revenge the mother-daughter duo for breaking his well-settled home. Ahilya sees this as a chance to get rid of Kalyani and fixes the latter's marriage with Malhar Rane, as a token of repentance and to babysit Malhar's newborn, Moksh.Kalyani strongly denies but later accepts as Malhar warns her to marry him, else see her mom behind the bars. On the day of marriage, it is revealed to Malhar that Atharva and Sampada loved each other even before his marriage with Sampada, which Sampada was never ready to accept but had no choice left before Ahilya. Now Malhar is totally broken and wants to take revenge from the whole of Deshmukh family. After his marriage with Kalyani, Malhar starts creating troubles for Kalyani as he holds her responsible for all the incidents. Kalyani tries to make Malhar realize that she wasn't involved with Sampada but it all her attempts goes in vain and rather Malhar keeps torturing Kalyani.Though Malhar hates Kalyani, she doesn't complain of him as Kalyani believes that Malhar is a good person by heart. In a bomb blast incident in Mumbai, Kalyani runs with the bomb for saving Malhar, Moksh, and others. And after this, for the first time, Malhar realizes there is something good in Kalyani but can't trust her all the way. Their relation goes on like this and day by day Malhar starts to soften towards Kalyani. Kalyani develops motherly love for Moksh and even the baby Moksh reciprocates it. In the day of naming ceremony of Moksh, Aau saheb plans with Pallavi to defame Malhar by stating that Moksh is not Malhar's son but is Atharva- Sampada's illegitimate son. Malhaar is heartbroken and leaves midway. Kalyani stands strong and declares that her child will be named what his baba wanted, and she names him Moksh Malhar Rane. Kalyani tries to explain to Malhar that whatever Pallavi said is not to be believed, but in vain. Malhar then tries to confirm the statement by getting a DNA test report, where knowing that Moksh's blood group is same as that of Atharva's he was shaken to the core and wants to check on Samada's blood group. In his hurry, he forgets baby Moksh in the hospital where the baby gets unconscious. At home when Kalyani inquires about Moksh, Malhar says he forgot him in the hospital and knowing about the arrangements for Moksh's DNA test, Kalyani bursts out on Malhar and then he realizes his mistake. Moksh stars recovering. On Republic Day's function at Kalyani's college, Sampada and Atharva come back making everyone shocked of the fact that they are alive. Moreover, terrorists attack the college and they fix the bomb there. Malhar, along with his police team tries to find the bomb but couldn't as the terrorists stop them. But Kalyani- Anupriya finds it and Kalyani risks her own life for others. Before few seconds of the last time, with the help of Kalyani-Malhar, the bomb squad diffuses the bomb and Malhar stops Kalyani from falling, saving her life. Seeing Kalyani's all these efforts and support for him, Malhar starts to trust and care for Kalyani and believes that Kalyani, indeed was not at all involved with Sampada-Atharva. But he is also afraid of this truth that he has ruined Kalyani's life who was innocent.

Atharva and Sampada have come back in the city and they are now rich as they cheated a mentally unstable girl named Mugdha and got all her properties. Sampada now wants back Moksh but Malhar has Moksh's legal custody. So Atharva-Sampada makes a plan to defame Malhar for raping Sneha and thinks that then they will get custody of Moksh. But Kalyani spoils all their plan proving Malhar innocent. Malhar thanks Kalyani for saving his reputation. But at this, Sampada gets more furious and she fakes marriage with Atharva as they can't legally marry now because Mugdha is legal wife of Atharva. Then to prove in front of the society as husband and wife, Sampada and Atharva hold Haldi-Kumkum ceremony where they invite all married ladies. At the event, Sampada insults Anupriya a lot saying that she lives a life of widow even after being married. To prove it wrong Kalyani decides to put haldi on Anupriya's forehead and as result, she slaps her. Anupriya bursts out her anger on Kalyani and feels apologetic. Malhar consoles Kalyani by saying she is one of the reasons he lives after Moksh and also consoles Anupriya.

At Kalyani and Anupriya's college fest, Atharva, who is the chief guest of the fest, humiliates Kalyani-Anupriya's saree stall but Kalyani shows him tit for tat and makes him apologize in front of everyone. This infuriates Atharva and he vows to make Kalyani cry. He tricks Kalyani into going to the mistletoe tree by telling that her jhumka, which was gifted by Malhar in a shooting game, has fallen there. Anupriya comes to know of this so she goes there instead and is humiliated by Sampadha who tells that Anupriya comes to college for flirting with young boys. This leaves Anupriya heartbroken and she vents out all her pain and sorrow of 18 years. Kalyani sees her loneliness and plans to get her remarried. Malhar misunderstands that Kalyani wants to remarry. Soon all gets cleared.

Here comes a new character in the story, Saarthak who is Malhar's uncle. Saarthak hits Anupriya's cycle and Kalyani scolds him for doing so not knowing that he is Malhar's uncle. But Saarthak likes Kalyani's guts and love for Anupriya. He smiles at her proclaiming to be the wife of ACP Malhar Rane, 'Aurangabad's Singham'.She later comes to know the truth in her college where Saarthak has joined as a professor. Malhar promises Kalyani that he will help her find a match for Anupriya.

Kalyani gets excited about her mother's remarriage and accepts the request of an unknown man on the matrimonial site who turns out to be a factionist. However, Malhar and Kalyani escape from there. During this, they come to know of Atharva's illegal business. Kalyani stands for Malhar whenever Sampadha tries to insult him and Sampadha gets insulted instead.

One night Kalyani sees someone peeping through the window of their bedroom but Malhar assures that there is no one. He turns out to be Keshav, Anupriya's brother, who has come back to kill Kalyani to avenge Anupriya's loneliness caused by Kalyani's parents. But Anupriya's tries her best to save Kalyani. Keshav kidnaps Pillu and asks Kalyani to shoot herself to save Pillu. Kalyani almost shoots herself but Anupriya saves her and Malhar finds Pillu. Keshav now joins hands with Atharva in spite of promising Anupriya that he will go away from their lives if she saves him from Malhar's wrath which she does. When Kalyani comes back and sees Moksh, she almost goes mad, holds him close to her and refrains anyone from touching him. Seeing this Aaosaheb declares that she will be keeping a puja for Moksh the following day as no puja has been conducted in his name. Malhar consoles Kalyani and says that the hero for Moksh will always be Kalyani. The next day the house is gearing up for the puja and everything is going well and happy, and then Anupriya is abducted by Keshav and he tells her that the whole family will not survive anymore and there is poison in something. Anupriya gets scared and somehow manages to convey this to Kalyani. Kalyani doesn't tell this to anyone, not even Malhar as Keshav threatens her. Kalyani finds all possibilities but fails until she ends up getting locked in the storeroom by Sampada, that is actually in the wood used for the havan kund. Till she escapes from the room the wood is already burnt, so she takes the havan kund and runs. The family gets to know about this and they decide a plan of action to catch the culprit. All members pretend to be dead and catch Atharva as the culprit. After all the interrogation, the family worries about Kalyani, so Malhar sets out to find her. He finds her in a very critical stage as she has inhaled quite a lot of poisonous smoke. But the family doesn't know the way poison reached her body, so Anupriya pleads Keshav, so Keshav tells her but asks her to leave that family and come to him in return. Kalyani gets cured. The next day Sampada and Atharva plan to get Anupriya disrespected in front of the village as they believe that Keshav in Anupriya's lover.

A whole drama is done and Keshav is arrested by Malhar as he gets to know that Keshav kidnapped Moksh. He starts distrusting Kalyani as he thinks that Kalayni is trying to hide Keshav's previous crime from him. But the Deshmukh family wants to keep that as a secret. But Malhar manages to scrap out the truth that Keshav actually went to jail due to being accused in a hit and run case where the victim died, more than 20 years back. The Deshmukh family wanted to hide the identity of the victim from him. But he finds out the evidence box and finds his mother's hand-stitched handkerchief with her initials as well. He confronts the family and it is revealed that Keshav was actually the Deshmukhs' driver at that time, and the person who died in the accident was Malhar's mother and the car was driven by Sayajirao. Unable to bear the guilt, Sayajirao commits suicide.

The family goes into shock and Aaosaheb starts blaming Malhar for Raosaheb's death and swears that till the time she doesn't take her revenge, she will not shed a tear. Pirates 2008 watch full movie. But before a daughter, she is a mother.' For Moksh, she breaks ties with her family and even Anupriya.

Kalyani's father, Atul is released from jail and comes back home. But he gets the shock of his life to see 18-year-old daughter married and has a kid. He gets more shocked when he gets to know that Malhar is the husband of Kalyani. He confronts Kalyani, Malhar, Anupriya and asks Kalyani to stay with him and to leave Malhar. Kalyani doesn't want to do so but Malhar, out of his guilt of destroying Kalyani's life asks her to go. Malhar is taken into police custody for abetment to suicide of Sayajirao. At the last rites of Sayajirao, Malhar reverses his marriage pheras with Kalyani by taking the pheras of the chita of Sayajirao. When Malhar is in jail, Moksh speaks his first word- Baba when talking to Malhar. Kalyani then by the help of Anupriya, Sarthak, and the police constables manage to prove Malhar innocent and bail him out. Anupriya and Sarthak plan a date for Kalyani-Malhar but that doesn't happen, and Sampada-Atharva inform Kalyani-Malhar that the following day there is the custody battle for the custody of Moksh in the court. The court drama happens and the court announces that since Malhar unknowingly signed the divorce papers, so the marriage of Sampada-Malhar is still valid and both Sampada-Atharva and Kalyani-Malhar's relations and not valid, and if they break their marriage now when they have 8-9 months old kid, it will be considered their irresponsibility and Moksh's custody might be handed over to some other couple, and both of them have to live together now. After much persuasion by Kalyani, Malhar accepts the decision but declares that Moksh's mother will always be Kalyani Malhar Rane and changes Moksh's name from Moksh Malhar Rane to Moksh Kalyani Rane.

Malhar and Kalyani now start realizing each other's worth and they're wanting to be with each other not only just for Moksh but for themselves as well. And Atharva-Sampada are hell-bent on proving to the court that Malhar and Kalyani have an affair so that Sampada gets the full custody of Moksh.

One day Malhar and Kalyani end up being in a hotel which is a 'not so decent hotel' by the planning of Atharva, where some thugs come and are going to catch Kalyani and Malhar together, but Kalyani sends Malhar out by the window so that no one catches them together. And then Atharva appears in the room from the bathroom and says that he and Kalyani were together in the room and that he and Kalyani are getting married in 10 days. This reaches to their family and Atharva proposes to Atul that he wants to marry Kalyani, to which Atul agrees as he believes that Atharva is changed and is rich, so he can fulfill Kalyani's dreams. Malhar, Sampada, Anupriya, and Sarthak are completely against it and even Kalyani, but Atul blackmails her that if she wants him to divorce Anupriya, she has to marry Atharva. Malhar confronts Kalyani about this and also expresses how important she is for him and even tells her that he just needs some days and he will find out from where Atharva got so much money and then that can be shown as proof to Atul so that Atul does not get Kalyani married to Atharva. But the next day Kalyani accepts this proposal as her father promised her that he would divorce Anupriya only when Kalyani marry Atharv much to Malhar, Sampada, Anupriya, and Sarthak's. Following the confrontation by Anupriya and Malhar about the same, Kalyani told them that it was just her plan to divert Atharva's attention towards the marriage preparations so that Malhar-Kalyani get time to bust Atharva's truth.

One day, when Kalyani-Malhar were coming back from the police station, an accident occurs, in which Kalyani manages to push Malhar out of the jeep but herself gets rammed by the truck. Her hand gets fractured, but she suffers no other major injuries. When she is unconscious, Moksh calls her Aai for the first time. When she gains consciousness, she discovers that she has lost her eyesight, completely shocking the Deshmukh and Rane household. Malhar gets shattered and more heartbroken when he is being continuously blamed for it. He then decides that he will donate his eyes to Kalyani, but Sarthak rubbishes it and makes him understand and assures him that Kalyani will be fine. Sometime later, Malhar and Sarthak get to know that the eye drops that Kalyani is putting is actually used by scientists for experiments and makes you blind for 6-7 hours. They instantly try to alert Anupriya and Kalyani but fail. Then Malhar gets to know that Kalyani can actually see and when asked about it, Kalyani says that she got to know about the eyedrop some time back so she stopped putting it. She then shows Malhar a photo of Mugdha and gets suspicious about it. Atharva, Kalyani, and Anupriya leave for Mumbai (According to Kalyani's plan) and there she sneaks into Dr. Dharmesh Adhikari's clinic (Mugdha's psychiatrist), and finds a file with the name Mugdha Atharva Bapat. She informs this to Malhar and then Malhar & Kalyani together present this to Atul, but Atharva somehow manages to erase all proofs.

He then kidnaps Anupriya and blackmails Kalyani into marrying him and erasing all proofs of Mugdha being his wife. So unwantedly Kalyani talks rudely with Malhar, declares her marriage with Atharva in 5 days and even tears up one of the proofs that Malhar got. Kalyani constantly tries to make Malhar feel that she is willingly marrying Atharva but Malhar senses something wrong and gets determined to find what it is.
